What we offer
Good kit is only useful if it arrives on time, works in the conditions and clears customs without delay. Riyo Films supplies professional production equipment for features, documentaries, television and commercials, from a single camera body to a full package for a multi-week shoot.
Cameras
Cinema and broadcast cameras for drama, documentary and commercial work. We can supply [camera bodies, e.g. cinema, mirrorless and broadcast], with batteries, media, cages, filters and the accessories needed to make them shoot-ready.
Lenses
Prime and zoom lenses to suit your look, from wide establishing shots to long telephoto work. Every lens is cleaned, checked and matched to your camera mount before it leaves us.
Sound
Location sound kit for dialogue, interviews and atmosphere: boom and lavalier microphones, wireless systems, recorders, mixers and monitoring headphones. We can also supply an experienced sound recordist.
Drone
Aerial cinematography for landscapes, coastlines and large locations. Drones are supplied with certified pilots who handle flight planning and the necessary [local aviation approvals and permits].
Camera Support
Tripods, fluid heads, sliders, gimbals, dollies, jibs and handheld rigs, for locked-off frames and moving shots alike. We can supply grip support to go with them.
Feature Films
Full-length narrative and documentary features developed, produced or supported by Riyo Films. We take stories from first draft through to delivery, working with local writers, directors and crew to give each film a distinct regional voice that speaks to audiences well beyond the Horn of Africa.
Co-productions
We partner with international producers, financiers and broadcasters to make films that neither side could make alone. As local co-producer, we handle [development / casting / locations / crew / permits / post-production], and we stay involved from first conversation to final cut.
Original Projects
These are the films we start ourselves: short films, festival titles and passion projects rooted in stories we want to see told. Our original work has been selected for the Berlinale [confirm titles and sections], and it remains the creative heart of the company.
Commercials
Branded films, campaigns and corporate content shot with the same cinematic approach as our drama and documentary work. We work with agencies and brands that want authentic East African stories, with permits, locations, crew and equipment arranged for you.
